NextMile
Shaping the next era of agentic AI in trade, transport and logistics.
Choose your track
The logistics industry spent a decade solving the last mile. The next mile belongs to intelligence.
Each track is a live operational challenge from EMX, the logistics arm of the 7X Group — chosen as one of the industry's most pressing problems in trade, transport and logistics. These are real problems EMX faces today; pick the one you want to solve, and what you build has a direct pathway into 7X operations.
Dynamic Last-Mile Routing
Dispatch still runs on manual calls and fixed routes. Build the AI that plans, sequences and reroutes deliveries as conditions change.
Intelligent Capacity Planning
Demand moves every week. Driver numbers do not. Build the engine that turns expected demand into the right drivers, in the right place, at the right time.
Predictive Network Optimisation
One network, no single view of it. Build the digital twin that tests how the network should change before anyone changes it.

What's on the table
Winners are selected across the full field, regardless of track. All teams presenting on Presentation Day receive certificates of achievement. Top-performing teams may also be invited to continue their work with 7X Group — with a pathway to internships and beyond.
How winning is decided
Every team is scored on the same five criteria, weighted into a single score out of 100.
Depth and appropriateness of the AI/ML approach. Is the AI doing meaningful work, or is it decorative?
How precisely the solution addresses the stated problem and its measurable success criteria.
Code quality, system architecture, use of the provided dataset, and stability of the prototype.
Could this be piloted within a 7X Group subsidiary or a logistics operator? Scalability, practicality, operational realism.
Clarity of problem framing, solution narrative, and the demo on Presentation Day.
One day. One dataset. One working solution.
